Enrique Garcia Mexican, b. 1995

Enrique García (b. 1995) is a visual artist whose practice investigates processes of erasure, decay, and replication. Engaging with themes of history, colonialism, and the impact of technology, his work explores the paradoxical relationship between creation and destruction. Through photographic and sculptural compositions that combine found materials, García constructs symbolic networks where scale and juxtaposition create new meanings. His imagery—often referencing ruins, celestial forms, and technological artifacts—evokes the sublime while questioning the narratives of progress embedded in human production.

García studied Sculpture at Pratt Institute and has participated in fellowships at Lighthouse Works (Fishers Island, NY) and Triangle Arts (Brooklyn, NY). His work has been exhibited at Microscope (New York), Aro (Mexico City), and SculptureCenter (New York).

He lives and works between New York and Mexico City.
