Manuela García Mexican, b. 1982

Manuela García (b. 1982) is a Mexican artist whose sculptural practice explores the relationship between bodies, matter, and space.

Born in Mexico City and raised in Medellín, Colombia, she earned a BFA from the National University of Colombia (2007) and pursued postgraduate studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan (2009). She later trained in textile arts at the School of Arts and Crafts in Granada (2010) and completed the SOMA Educational Program in Mexico City (2016).
