Pablo Andino (b. 1990) is an Ecuadorian visual artist working across sculpture and installation. His recent work investigates the “death of the party” as a metaphor for the oscillation between celebration and loss, exploring the emotional and physical traces left by collective rituals.
Andino received a BFA in Sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and a technical degree from the Instituto Tecnológico de Artes del Ecuador (ITAE).
He has exhibited at Sullivan Galleries (Chicago), Jacket Contemporary (Chicago), the Arsenale di Venezia, the Museo Antropológico y de Arte Contemporáneo (MAAC, Guayaquil), Proyecto NASAL (Mexico City), and Galería NoLugar (Quito). He has participated in residencies such as HATCH (Chicago Artists Coalition, 2016) and Sculpture Space (New York, 2020). His latest solo exhibition, Como un tiro, un clavel (2023), was presented at Proyecto NASAL in Mexico City. He lives and works in Quito.
