N.A.S.A.L. is pleased to present Piedras Vivas by Karina Aguilera Skvirsky.
Karina Aguilera Skvirsky is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans photography, video, and performance. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art at Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania.
Her work has been widely exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the United States and Latin America. Aguilera Skvirsky has participated in major international biennials, including the São Paulo Biennial (2010) and the Cuenca Biennial (2016), curated by Dan Cameron. She has been awarded numerous grants and has taken part in a range of artist residencies. She is currently developing a new body of work, How to Build a Wall and Other Ruins, supported by a 2019 Creative Capital grant (New York).
Her work has also been presented at leading international art fairs such as ARCO Madrid, NADA Miami, and PARC Lima, where she regularly exhibits with her representing galleries. Aguilera Skvirsky’s work is included in significant public and private collections, among them Urbes Mutantes, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
