N.A.S.A.L. presents SUR SUR, a collective exhibition, on view from June 12 to August 2 (CDMX - Upstairs).
This exhibition marks a pivotal moment for N.A.S.A.L., gathering eighteen Latin American artists whose practices trace the gallery’s past while gesturing toward its future. Without a single curatorial theme, the show unfolds as a constellation of material inquiries, temporal dissonances, and embodied memories. Works range from ceramic books and beeswax relics to respiratory sculptures and AI-generated stained glass, exploring labor, identity, domesticity, and speculative forms of life. Time bends and fractures throughout: myths, rituals, and cosmologies disrupt linearity, inviting viewers into spaces of reflection and resonance, where memory and imagination refuse closure.
Exhibiting artists: Miguel Andrade Valdez, Sofía Bonilla Otoya, Alberto Checa, Miguel Cinta Robles, Enrique García, Manuela García, Aileen Gavonel, Diego Gualandris, Mili Herera, Mariano León, José Carlos Martinat, Sofía Nehring, Raura Oblitas, Pedro Riofrío, Martín Samaniego, Ex Soup, Emilia González, Luis Enrique Zela-Koort.
